Use WSC® 8140 deposit and corrosion inhibitor is recommended for the control of corrosion and deposition in closed recirculating cooling water systems.The product is formulated to control deposition of hardness salts and minimize corrosion of mild steel and copper alloys. WSC® 8140 is suitable in hard alkaline cooling waters, here the use of traditional inhibitors such as phosphates, phosphate esters or chromate is not acceptable
Features WSC® 8140 is a clear liquid combination nitrite-borate-azole corrosion inhibitor (containing no chromate or phosphate) designed to control pitting and galvanic action in closed recirculating hot and chilled water systems.The non-chromate, non-phosphate, non-toxic nature of WSC® 8140 makes it possible for plants to treat their hot and chilled water systems without the danger of creating pollution problems. The effluent (or blowdown) from a system treated with WSC® 8140 can be released into any river, stream or stabilization lagoon without the fear of increasing toxicity. WSC® 8140 contains also organophosphorous compounds and chelant, so can easily control deposition of hardness salts and iron or copper oxides. Advantages
Feeding Normally, the treatment should be used in sufficient quantity to maintain a product residual of 2500-4000 ppm. An initial dosage of 9 0/oo of water in the system, is required. Handling precautions Wear suitable protective clothing, goggles and gloves. WSC® 8140 is a skin irritant and eye irritant.In case of contact immediately flush with water for 5 - 15 minutes.
