Purpose

WSB CPT-2640 is a concentrated “combination cycle” scale and corrosion inhibitor for steam boilers, operating in the congruent – coordinated phosphate/pH cycle (CPT).

WSB®CPT-2640 is designed to provide protection in all types of boilers operating at medium and high pressures, up to 1800 psig.

WSB®CPT-2640 is supplementary, balanced acid correction product for Congruent/Coordinated phosphate/pH programs.

Advantages 

 

WSB®CPT-2640 is a proprietary “combination cycle” boiler treatment. WSB®CPT-2640 contains a special blend of phosphorous compounds, polymeric scale inhibitors, dispersants, for the acid correction, in a single easily applied product.

WSB®CPT-2640 offers much greater flexibility in dosage without over-treatment or under-treatment of a boiler system when compared to a typical phosphate cycle treatment program.

The balanced formulation of WSB®CPT-2640 eliminates the over-concentration of Sodium Hydroxide under transfer boiling conditions, very common in high pressure boilers. So the undesirable caustic attack and the deterioration of the protective magnetite film is minimized.

The high buffer capacities of WSB®CPT-2640 insures the system from acid excursions corrosion, when alkaline correction has to be made

This makes it a much easier program to control, requiring significantly less testing

Application

Being a CPT based treatment, WSB®CPT-2640 is used and controlled under the CPT control diagrams, and according the instructions of the suppliers engineers.

 

FDA / USDA regulations

WSB®CPT-2640 is acceptable, without any restrictions, for treating boilers or steam lines where the low pressure steam produced, may contact edible products and/or cooling systems, where the treated water may contact edible products.

This is applicable in official establishments, operating under the US Federal meat, poultry, shell egg grading, and egg products inspection programs.
