WS DES-1500 Evaporator treatment
GENERAL WS DES-1500 is a highly concentrated liquid formulated for hardness stabilisation and crystal distortion in salt water feed to evaporators.WS DES-1500 is an alkaline, liquid preventative against scaling in seawater evaporators. It prevents scale formation at temperatures up to 160o C and is environmentally safe. WS DES-1500 is specially designed to reduce foaming and maintain optimum plant performance. WS DES-1500 is odorless and non-flammable, contains no volatile components and remains fully effective up to 160 C. It will not corrode stainless steel, copper alloys, carbon steel, glass, rubber, plastics, painted surfaces, aluminum and aluminum alloys. WS DES-1500 is suitable for potable water production.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
APPLICATIONS
Directions for Use WS DES-1500 should be dosed continuously to the evaporators salt water inlet, using a metering pump or a flow meter. Standard dosage is 20 ml. concentrated WS DES-1500 per ton produced water based on the rated capacity at normal operating temperature and a brine density of 1.5/32nds. If brine density is increased, the dosage should be increased proportionately. WS DES-1500 should be dosed using a proportioning pump or by a gravity feed system through a flow meter. WS DES-1500 is diluted with fresh or seawater and fed continuously to the evaporator inlet line, directly to the evaporator shell or just prior to the preheaters depending on equipment. WS DES-1500 could also be diluted with water. In such a case, add 20 litres of water per litre WS DES-1500. PRODUCT PROPERTIES
